Creating an art piece that goes beyond the canvas
In support of my debut gallery exhibition at Open 205, London - I developed a brand identity that spoke directly to the work I was exhibiting; "Hooligans", a piece that explores love, friendship and football culture. With a guerrilla marketing edge - I printed 50 labels for beer cans, which we handed out to everyone at the private view - along with business cards. My social media collateral leading up to the event also weaved into the visual storytelling. The feedback from the gallery and it's curators was that the brand extension and the huge presence that myself and my group brought to the show, actually elevated the physical work to new heights, which effectively stole the show on the night.
